We are looking for a Product Engineer to build and evolve the software behind Emerhub and RecruitGo.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys owning problems from idea to production. You will work directly with business and product stakeholders, understand how our customers and internal teams operate, and turn those problems into simple, reliable software.

Two growing businesses

Emerhub helps companies establish and operate businesses across Southeast Asia and other international markets. We are building Entity Management System that makes company incorporation, compliance, licensing, payments, document management and ongoing corporate services significantly easier to manage.

RecruitGo provides Employer of Record, payroll, recruitment and workforce management services across multiple countries. Our products support employers, employees, payroll teams and operations staff managing increasingly complex cross-border employment workflows.

What you will do

  • Build and ship customer-facing and internal products across Emerhub and RecruitGo.

  • Own features end to end: from problem definition through implementation, testing, deployment and iteration.

  • Work directly with users and business teams to understand operational problems and spot opportunities for automation.

  • Design simple product experiences for workflows that are often operationally complex.

  • Build integrations with external services: payment providers, government systems, communication tools, accounting platforms and other APIs.

  • Improve existing products by removing friction, simplifying workflows and automating manual processes.

  • Work across the stack when the problem calls for it, rather than staying in a narrow frontend or backend lane.

  • Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, maintainability and product quality.

  • Monitor what you ship, investigate problems, and keep improving reliability and performance.

  • Help shape our architecture and engineering practices as the product organisation grows.

What we are looking for

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production web applications.

  • Comfortable across frontend, backend, databases, APIs and infrastructure where required.

  • Strong product sense: you care about solving the underlying user problem, not just implementing a specification.

  • Able to take a loosely defined business problem and turn it into a working product.

  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions without detailed tickets or specifications.

  • A pragmatic approach to engineering: you know when to build something properly, when to simplify, and when not to build at all.

  • Experience with APIs, relational databases, authentication, payments or workflow-heavy applications is useful.

  • Good written and spoken English.

  • At home in a small team where engineers have real ownership and direct contact with decision-makers.

You will probably enjoy this role if

  • You prefer shipping useful products over spending weeks discussing how to build them.

  • You like understanding how a business actually works and replacing spreadsheets, repetitive manual work and complicated processes with software.

  • You move comfortably between product thinking and engineering, rather than expecting someone else to define every requirement.

  • You are keen to use modern development tools, including AI-assisted engineering, to build, test and iterate faster.

What you will work on

Projects may include:

  • Client portals for managing corporate services and compliance.

  • Entity and document management systems.

  • Payments, billing and subscription workflows.

  • Employer and employee portals.

  • Payroll and workforce management tools.

  • Internal operations software.

  • Workflow automation across multiple countries.

  • AI-assisted tools for customers and internal teams.

  • Integrations with third-party services and government platforms.

The exact problems will change as the businesses grow. We are looking for someone who wants to help decide what should be built, not only how to build it.

About us

Emerhub helps companies expand and operate internationally, with a strong presence across Southeast Asia. RecruitGo helps companies hire, employ and manage people across borders through Employer of Record, payroll, recruitment and workforce services.

Both businesses combine operational expertise with software. Our goal is to turn traditionally manual professional services into products that are faster, easier to use and increasingly automated.
